Barbara Miles, M. ED. is a communication specialist/ consultant and teacher, experienced with all ages and levels of persons who are deaf-blind. She has taught regional, national and international seminars on communication issues for children who are deaf-blind. Her articles have been published in professional journals & newsletters and she is co-author of the book “Remarkable Conversations.”
This session, on touch and early communication by Barbara Miles, an internationally recognized expert in the promotion of communication through touch, provides participants with the fundamental understandings that are linked to the use of touch as a critical avenue for development and learning for children who are deafblind.
